NZSKI Snowsports Programme for Year 3-8 Local Students 2024
We’re excited to advise you of the NZSki Winter Sports programme for 2024. This year, the booking portal will be made available to all parents of Whakatipu Basin Schools, from Wednesday 20 March, and spaces will no doubt fill up quickly.
Here is the link to the NZ Information: NZSKI Information 2024
As a school we ask that parents only sign up for the following camps. (Participation will be coded as F, which means they are attending an outside provider).
July 3-5 Y3/4 camp at The Remarkables
Aug 28-30 Y5/6 camp at The Remarkables & Enduro camp Y5-8
Sept 11-13 Y7/8 camp at The Remarkables & Enduro camp Y5-8
We will not be sending any staff to support camps other than these, (and participation outside of these dates will be marked as E, which means explained but unjustified.)
Below are the links to book - please book the above dates.

Snowsports Battle of the Basin
Thursday 8 September -
This is the annual event for local primary schools to call themselves the snowsport champions of the Wakatipu. The day consists of two runs of Dual Slalom on Easy Rider (at Coronet Peak) for skiers and snowboarders in Years 3-8. The entry fee ($35) must be made online at Snowsports New Zealand by 5 September (no entry on the day). Please see race notice and registration information here. We’d love to see plenty of kids up there representing the school, every participant contributes to helping us win the Wakatipu Snowsports trophy! Parents are responsible for their own child/ren during this event, including transport to and from the mountain.
