Be part of something truly special! Remarkables Primary School is proud to launch the first ever Rumaki Reo Akomanga in the Whakatipu Basin and Central Otago. This is a unique opportunity to be the foundation kaiako of a brand-new class that will inspire tamariki to flourish in Te Ao Māori.
Ideally, this role will begin in Term 4. You’ll help shape the kaupapa from the ground up — working closely with our kura, whānau and hāpori to create a warm and supportive space for our tamariki.
We are seeking a competent kaiako who is:
Fluent in te reo Māori me ōna tikanga
A positive, caring and creative practitioner
Strong in behaviour management and classroom organisation
Confident teaching across the breadth of the curriculum
Knowledgeable in both Te Marautanga o Aotearoa and the NZ Curriculum
Able to connect and collaborate with whānau and the wider hāpori
This class will begin with a maximum of 24 students, Years 1–8, working in a tuakana/teina model. The role requires delivery of the curriculum at Level 2 immersion (50–80%) with aspirations to grow towards Level 1 immersion in coming years.

Ko te tūmanako ka tīmata tēnei tūranga ā te wāhanga tuawhā. Māu e āwhina ki te ārahi te kaupapa mai i te tīmatanga — me te mahi tahi i tō mātou kura, whānau, me te hāpori hei whakatū i tētahi taiao mahana, hāpai hoki, mō ā tātou tamariki.

He matatau ki te reo Māori me ōna tikanga.
He kaiako pai, atawhai, auaha hoki.
He kaha ki te whakahaere whanonga me te whakaritenga akomanga.

He mōhio ki Te Marautanga o Aotearoa me te NZ Curriculum.
He kaha ki te hono me te mahi tahi i te whānau me te hāpori.

Permanent Position: Phase 3 (Year 7/8) Team Leader
We are seeking a remarkable teacher for a Phase 3 class. We want to hear from kaiako who are motivated by building great relationships to engage a team, our learners and whānau.

Teacher Aide – Grade BC | Remarkables Primary School
Immediate Start – Fixed Term until 17 December 2025 | Full-Time (5 days per week)
We’re looking for a caring, reliable, and proactive Teacher Aide (Grade BC) to join our supportive team at Remarkables Primary School. This role is full-time, five days per week, term time only, starting immediately and continuing until Wednesday 17 December 2025.
You’ll work alongside teachers to support student learning and wellbeing across a range of classroom settings, helping to make a real difference in the lives of our tamariki.
You’ll be someone who:

CARETAKER
We Need Someone Remarkable!
Remarkables Primary School is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated caretaker to join our kura.
In this important role, you will wear many hats; grounds-person, maintenance ‘go to’, de-icing expert, trade liaison and MVP to the staff and students by saving the day regularly.
You’ll need to…
Provide support and assistance to staff, students, and visitors as needed with a smile
Demonstrate initiative in identifying and promptly addressing routine maintenance and repair tasks
Ensure that all school facilities, equipment and systems are maintained in good working order, and fully compliant
Coordinate and liaise with contractors
Assist with the set up and take down of school events and activities
Adapt to our ever-changing environment
Desired Qualifications and Skills:
Computer literate with the ability to use basic software and technology
Proactive problem-solver who enjoys working independently
Genuine interest in contributing to the wellbeing of our school community
This is a (up to) 40 hours per week term time only position (negotiable). Remuneration is payable above Collective Agreement rates, depending on experience, skills and qualifications. This would suit someone keen to spend the school holidays with children or grandchildren and/or enjoy the term breaks.
